• Backpacks for Homeless Ch...


    There are over 3,000 homeless children in Baltimore City schools. During the week the school provides meals for them, BUT from Friday afternoon until Monday morning MANY OF THEM GO HUNGRY. WE CAN FIX THAT!

     

    We currently pack more than 400 “backpacks” monthly to distribute to inner city schools for their homeless, hungry children.  Each backpack has enough food to feed four people for the weekend. Through our efforts, we are feeding more than 1,400 people each mont! And we need your help!

    On Friday, February 22 at 6:15PM, Rabbi Scheinerman will speak at our Erev Shabbat Service and at a congregational dinner following the service. Reservations are required for the dinner only. 

    Congregational dinner with our Scholar-in-Residence is an adult-only (age 13 and older) dinner. To make reservations for free childcare (children under 13) during the service and dinner, go to www.templeohebshalom.org/babysitting.

    This is a "men's-only culinary and social experience" with local chefs. Come learn new cooking skills and techniques in our TOS kitchen while meeting and bonding with other men from our TOS community. Open to men of all ages.

    Registration is required. All classes begin at 9:30 AM and end at 11:00 AM.
